How to Add Funds via M-Pesa STK Push

The M-Pesa STK Push is the fastest way to add credit to your Jiinubi account. Unlike a manual Paybill transaction, an STK Push sends a pre-filled payment request directly to your phone, so you don’t need to remember any account numbers.

Steps to Add Funds

  1. Log in to the Client Area: Visit jiinubi.com/clientarea.php.
  2. Navigate to Add Funds: In the main menu, go to Billing > Add Funds.
  3. Enter Amount: Type the amount you wish to deposit (e.g., 2,000 KES). Note: Ensure the amount is within the minimum and maximum limits shown on the page.
  4. Select Payment Method: Choose M-Pesa (STK Push) from the list of payment gateways.
  5. Initiate the Request: Click the Add Funds or Deposit button.
  6. Complete on Your Phone:
    • A pop-up notification will appear on your Safaricom phone screen.
    • It will show the amount and the merchant name (Jiinubi).
    • Enter your M-Pesa PIN and press OK/Send.
  7. Confirmation: Once you enter your PIN, the transaction is processed instantly. You will receive an M-Pesa SMS confirmation, and your Jiinubi account balance will update automatically within a few seconds.
???? Tip: Adding funds via STK Push is instant. If your website was suspended for non-payment, depositing enough credit to cover the invoice will automatically pay the bill and reactivate your site immediately.

Troubleshooting STK Push Issues

  • Prompt Not Appearing: Ensure your phone screen is unlocked and you have a stable Safaricom signal. Restarting the phone or toggling Airplane Mode can sometimes help.
  • Timeout Error: If you take too long to enter your PIN (usually over 60 seconds), the request expires. Try initiating the Add Funds process again.
  • Incorrect Number: If the prompt goes to the wrong phone, update your primary M-Pesa number in Account Details.
⚠️ Warning: Do not share your M-Pesa PIN with anyone. Only approve payment prompts you initiated from your Jiinubi Client Area.
???? Notice: The M-Pesa STK Push is tied to the phone number on your Jiinubi account. Make sure this number is current to avoid failed transactions.
