Configuration: Setting up SMART (Scan Malware Alert & Removal Tool)
For SiteLock to automatically fix infected files (not just detect them), it needs internal access to your server via FTP/SFTP.
- Open SMART Settings: Inside the SiteLock Dashboard, go to Settings > SMART Settings.
- Enable Automatic Removal: Select "Yes, automatically remove malware".
- Enter FTP/SFTP Details: Use the credentials from your Hosting Welcome Email:
- FTP Host: Your server IP address
- Port: 21 for FTP or 22 for SFTP
- Username & Password: Your cPanel or FTP credentials
- Save Settings: Click Save. SiteLock will now perform a deep scan of your files every 24 hours.
