Scaling Your Resources (RAM & CPU) as You Grow
One of the greatest advantages of Jiinubi’s Cloud Hosting and VPS services is scalability. Unlike a physical computer in your office, our virtualized environment allows you to "turn up the dial" on your server's power as your traffic increases.
When Should You Scale?
Consider upgrading your RAM and CPU if you notice any of the following:
- Slower Load Times: Your website responds slowly during peak traffic.
- 508 Resource Limit Errors: Your shared hosting account is hitting its memory or CPU ceiling.
- Server Crashes: Your VPS becomes unresponsive during intensive tasks like backups or high-traffic periods.
- Expanding Services: You are adding more websites, professional emails, or complex applications to your server.
How to Upgrade Your Plan
Jiinubi provides a self-service upgrade system via your dashboard:
- Log in to your Jiinubi Client Area.
- Navigate to Services > My Services.
- Select the hosting plan or VPS you wish to upgrade.
- Click Upgrade/Downgrade on the left-hand sidebar.
- Select a new plan with the RAM and CPU you need.
- Confirm payment: a pro-rata invoice will calculate the difference for the remainder of your billing cycle.
- Automatic Provisioning: Once payment is confirmed, new resource limits are applied instantly.
What Happens During the Upgrade?
- Shared / Cloud Hosting: Instant and seamless. No downtime, files and settings remain intact.
- VPS Customers: After the upgrade, you must Reboot your VPS from the management panel so the OS recognizes the new RAM and CPU cores.
Vertical vs. Horizontal Scaling

Pro Tip: For expected traffic surges (e.g., Black Friday or viral campaigns), upgrade at least 24 hours in advance to give your server the "breathing room" it needs.
Monitoring Your Usage
Keep an eye on your resource consumption before hitting limits:
- Shared Hosting: Check the Resource Usage or CPU and Concurrent Connection Usage icon in cPanel.
- VPS Users: Run
