Keeping your profile information up to date is vital for two key reasons:
- Billing Accuracy: Ensures your invoices have the correct details.
- Domain Ownership: Confirms you are legally recognized as the owner of your domains.
Because Jiinubi is a professional hosting environment, your profile details are also used for official ICANN domain registration records.
How to Update Your Profile
- Log In: Access your Jiinubi Client Area.
- Navigate to Profile: In the top-right navigation bar, click Hello, [Your Name]! and select Edit Account Details.
- Modify Details: Update the following information:
- First & Last Name: Use your real name or registered business name for legal domain ownership.
- Email Address: Where invoices and password reset links are sent.
- Phone Number: Used for emergency account recovery and verification.
- Payment Address: Must match your credit card or billing method to prevent payment issues.
- Save Changes: Scroll down and click Save Changes.
Important: Changing Your Primary Email
- Re-verification: You will receive a verification link to your new email. Click it to keep your account active.
- Domain Lock: For some domains (e.g., .com), changing the email may trigger a temporary 60-day Transfer Lock to prevent unauthorized domain transfers.
Managing Sub-Accounts (For Teams)
If you have a developer or business partner who needs access without sharing your main password:
- Go to Contacts → Manage Sub-Accounts in the Client Area.
- Add a new contact with their email address.
- Tick Activate Sub-Account and choose specific permissions (e.g., allow ticket access but not invoice viewing).
