Verifying Your Account and Domain for Security
To protect your data and ensure your website remains active, Jiinubi requires two levels of verification. Completing these immediately after signing up helps prevent service interruptions and protects your account from unauthorized access.
Unverified accounts or domains may experience restrictions, suspensions, or service downtime.
1. Account Email Verification
When you register for a Jiinubi account, we automatically send a verification email to your registered email address.
Why this matters
This confirms that you own the email address linked to your billing and hosting services. Until verified, some automated features in your Client Area may be limited.
What to do
- Check your inbox for an email from Jiinubi Support
- Look for the subject line: Confirm your registration
- Click the verification link inside the email
- You will be redirected to the Client Area with a success confirmation
Verification links are valid for 60 minutes. If yours expires, log in to your Jiinubi Client Area and look for a yellow banner at the top. Click “Resend Verification Email”.
2. ICANN Domain Verification (Crucial)
If you registered a new domain such as .com, .net, or .org, international regulations from ICANN require you to verify your domain contact information.
The 15-Day Rule
You must verify your domain within 15 days of registration.
ICANN will automatically suspend your domain. Your website will stop loading and your professional email addresses will stop working.
What to do
- Look for an email with a subject similar to:
IMMEDIATE VERIFICATION required for [yourdomain] - The sender may appear as our domain registrar partner (you may see names like “Registrar” or “Name Services”)
- Click the verification link to confirm your contact details
No password is required for this step — only confirmation that your contact information is correct.
3. Enhanced Security: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Email verification confirms your identity, but 2FA protects your account even if your password is compromised. We strongly recommend enabling this feature for all clients.
How to enable 2FA
- Log in to your Jiinubi Client Area
- Click Hello, [Your Name]! in the top-right corner
- Select Security Settings
- Under Two-Factor Authentication, click “Click here to Enable”
- Choose Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP)
- Scan the QR code using an app like Google Authenticator or Authy
- Enter the 6-digit code to complete setup
Save your backup codes in a secure location in case you lose access to your phone.
Summary Checklist
| Task | Deadline | Result of Failure |
|---|---|---|
| Account Email Verification | Immediate | Limited dashboard access |
| ICANN Domain Verification | 15 days | Website & email suspension |
| Two-Factor Authentication | Recommended | Higher risk of account compromise |
