Top 5 Things to Do After Signing Up
Congratulations on joining Jiinubi! You’ve just taken a massive step toward building your digital presence in East Africa. To help you get the most out of your new account, we’ve compiled the five most important steps to take within your first 24 hours.
Completing these steps early helps keep your account secure, improves professionalism, and ensures your website launches smoothly.
1. Secure Your Account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Before building your site, protect your investment. Your Jiinubi Client Area contains sensitive billing information and domain controls.
What to do
Go to Account Details → Security Settings in your Dashboard and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Even if someone gets your password, they cannot access your account without the verification code from your phone.
2. Set Up Your Professional Email Address
Nothing says professional like an email address that matches your domain (e.g., info@yourdomain.com).
What to do
Log into your cPanel via the Jiinubi Dashboard, locate the Email Accounts icon, and create your first mailbox.
Add this email account to your phone immediately so you never miss a client inquiry.
3. Activate Your Free SSL Certificate
Jiinubi provides free SSL certificates (the green padlock) to keep your visitors’ data safe and secure.
What to do
In your cPanel, look for AutoSSL or SSL/TLS Status. In most cases this activates automatically, but it’s worth confirming that your website shows as Secure from day one.
SSL is a confirmed Google ranking factor and improves visitor trust instantly.
4. Launch WordPress (or Upload Your Website Files)
Now it’s time to build your website. If you’re not a developer, our 1-click tools make this easy.
What to do
Open Softaculous Apps Installer in your cPanel and install WordPress with just a few clicks.
If you’re using a custom theme to build a hosting or business site, this is the right time to upload your theme files and start customizing your storefront.
5. Verify Your Domain Contact Information
ICANN (the global domain authority) requires all domain owners to have accurate and verified contact details.
What to do
Check your inbox for a “Domain Verification” email and click the verification link inside.
If you skip this step, your domain may be temporarily suspended after 15 days.
Bonus: Need a Hand?
If you’re moving from another hosting provider, don’t worry — we offer Free Professional Migrations.
Instead of doing it yourself, simply open a support ticket and let our experts move your files, databases, and emails for you.
Follow these steps and you’ll be fully set up, secure, and ready to grow.
