Updating Your Profile and Contact Details
Your contact information is the only way Jiinubi can reach you regarding critical server alerts, security updates, and upcoming domain expirations. Keeping this data current ensures you never miss an important notification.
How to Update Your Information
- Log in to the Client Area:
Access your account at jiinubi.com/clientarea.php. - Access Account Details:
Click the dropdown next to Hello, [Your Name]! in the top-right corner and select Account Details. - Modify Your Profile:
On this page, you can update:- First & Last Name: Useful if the account is being managed by a different person.
- Email Address: This is your login username and where all invoices are sent.
- Phone Number: Essential for receiving M-Pesa STK push notifications.
- Address: Your physical or business billing address for invoices.
- Save Changes:
Scroll to the bottom and click the Save Changes button to apply updates immediately.
Updating User vs. Client Details
Jiinubi separates Users (the person logging in) from Clients (the legal owner of the services).
- If you change your email address in Account Details, your login username will also update to that new email.
- If managing an account for a company, ensure the Company Name field is accurate for tax invoices.
Why Accuracy Matters
- Verification: Support uses the phone number and address on file to verify your identity if you lose account access.
- Email Deliverability: Outdated emails may prevent you from receiving renewal notifications, risking downtime.
- M-Pesa: An incorrect phone number will send Lipa na M-Pesa prompts to the wrong person.
