Webmail – Your Inbox Anywhere

Webmail is a cloud-based email interface that lets you access your professional email accounts directly through any web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.). Instead of installing software, you simply log in to a URL, much like Gmail or Yahoo.

1. How Webmail Works

Unlike an email app that stores a copy of messages locally, Webmail interacts directly with the Jiinubi Mail Server in real-time:

  • No configuration required.
  • No need to manually enter ports or protocols (IMAP/SMTP).
  • Your messages, folders, and contacts are always synced because you are viewing the "source" files.

2. Common Webmail Clients

If you use a cPanel-based hosting plan with Jiinubi, you'll typically see two main choices:

  • Roundcube: The most popular choice. Modern interface, drag-and-drop support, folders, and clean reading pane.
  • Horde: Advanced suite with shared calendars, task lists, and extensive organizational tools.

3. Advantages of Webmail

Benefit Why it matters
Instant Access Check your mail from anywhere — library, cafe, or friend's laptop.
Zero Setup Perfect for new employees — just a URL and password.
Saves Space No mail is downloaded locally, preserving device storage.
Built-in Tools Set up Autoresponders and Email Filters directly from the interface.

4. How to Access Your Jiinubi Webmail

Access your webmail easily:

  • Universal Shortcut: Add /webmail at the end of your domain (e.g., https://yourdomain.com/webmail).
  • Through Jiinubi Client Area or cPanel: Click "Email Accounts" → "Check Email."

5. Security Best Practices for Webmail

  • Avoid "Remember Me": Never check this box on public/shared computers.
  • Always Log Out: Click "Log Out" to end the session, don’t just close the tab.
  • Use Incognito Mode: When using someone else's computer, ensure your password isn’t saved in the browser history.

Webmail is not just for travel — it’s a diagnostic tool. If your Outlook or other email app stops working, log into Webmail to see if the problem is with your device or the server. If Webmail works, the server is fine.

???? Tip:
Signatures created in Webmail usually don’t sync to mobile apps. Set up your professional signature in both Webmail and your email apps for consistency.
