How to Add Funds via Credit/Debit Card

Using a credit or debit card is a reliable way to add funds, especially for international users or those who prefer to keep their hosting expenses on a specific bank card. Jiinubi supports major providers like Visa and Mastercard.

Steps to Add Funds via Card

  1. Log in to the Client Area: Go to your Jiinubi Dashboard.
  2. Access Add Funds: Click on Billing > Add Funds from the top menu.
  3. Enter Deposit Amount: Specify the amount you wish to add (e.g., 5,000 KES).
  4. Select Payment Gateway: Choose the Credit/Debit Card option.
  5. Enter Card Details: You will be redirected to a secure payment page where you must provide:
    • Cardholder Name
    • Card Number (16 digits)
    • Expiry Date (MM/YY)
    • CVV/CVC (3-digit code on back)
  6. 3D Secure Verification: Most banks require a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your phone or email to authorize the transaction.
  7. Instant Credit: Once the bank approves, the funds are immediately added to your account credit.
???? Tip: To avoid delays, ensure your phone is able to receive OTPs and that your card supports international or online transactions.

Security and Privacy

  • PCI Compliance: Your full card details are processed by secure payment gateways and never stored on Jiinubi servers.
  • M-Pesa GlobalPay: Kenyan users can use the Safaricom M-Pesa Virtual Visa card, which works like a standard debit card and draws funds directly from M-Pesa.
⚠️ Warning: Do not attempt to save your card details on shared or public computers. Always log out after completing a transaction to protect your financial information.

Common Reasons for Card Declines

  • Insufficient Funds: Ensure your bank account has enough balance.
  • International Blocking: Some cards are blocked for online/international payments by default. Contact your bank to enable e-commerce access.
  • Incorrect CVV or Expiry: Double-check the numbers match your physical card exactly.
???? Notice: If your card is repeatedly declined, consider using an alternative payment method such as M-Pesa or PayPal to ensure your account remains funded and services uninterrupted.
