Configuration: Setting up SMART (Scan Malware Alert & Removal Tool)

For SiteLock to automatically fix infected files (not just detect them), it needs internal access to your server via FTP/SFTP.

  1. Open SMART Settings: Inside the SiteLock Dashboard, go to Settings > SMART Settings.
  2. Enable Automatic Removal: Select "Yes, automatically remove malware".
  3. Enter FTP/SFTP Details: Use the credentials from your Hosting Welcome Email:
    • FTP Host: Your server IP address
    • Port: 21 for FTP or 22 for SFTP
    • Username & Password: Your cPanel or FTP credentials
  4. Save Settings: Click Save. SiteLock will now perform a deep scan of your files every 24 hours.
